Control Panel
The Problem:
A potential customer came to ETI with a control panel project because their current panel builder wasn't able to keep up with demand (see photo at right). When ETI first received the panel sample, it came with only a wiring schematic and incomplete BOM's. ETI staff quickly recognized that it also came with opportunities to improve quality and reliability, as well as reduce costs.
The Solution:
ETI engineers and customer service team met, along with the customer, to create a plan of action and a priority list. Within a month, ETI presented the customer with an attractive quote to include (1) PLC programming and functional test procedures, (2) complete BOM's and CAD drawings, (3) improved internal point-to-point wiring, (4) enhanced overall product aesthetics, (5) customized returnable shipping materials, and (6) a safety stock program that buffered spikes in demand. Today, ETI has a strong, long-term partnership with client as a result of ETI's engineering services, quality program, inventory management, and skilled workmanship.
